Objectifs du programme
In private seniors’ residences, care attendants assist independent or semi-independent seniors. They assist residents with the activities of daily living, such as those involving moving around, hygiene, dressing and so forth. They also work to prevent infections and contamination, and look after the well-being and safety of the residents.

Conditions d'admission
To be eligible for admission to the Care Assistance in a Private Seniors’ Residence program leading to an STC, candidates must meet one of the following requirements:
1. Persons must hold a Secondary School Diploma (SSD) or a Diploma of Vocational Studies (DVS) or the equivalent.
OR
Persons must have obtained at least Secondary III credits or their equivalent in language of instruction, second language and mathematics.
OR
Persons must have obtained an Attestation of Equivalence of Secondary 5 Studies (AESS).
OR
Persons must have passed the General Development Test (GDT) without specific prerequisites.
2. Persons must have stopped their full-time studies for at least 12 months.
OR
Persons must be 18 years old at the time they begin the training program.
OR
Persons must meet the eligibility conditions under Emploi-Québec’s Manpower Training Measure.
